At Awsworth every child is valued and each child’s rich diversity is celebrated. We believe that SEN and EAL pupils and parents have a valuable contribution to make and we have clear procedures in place to develop and support their needs. As a mainstream school we strive to be as inclusive as possible. If any pupil in our school has a barrier to learning we will endeavour to ensure that we provide them with the best opportunities to take part in every aspect of school life and achieve their full potential.
If you have any questions or queries about your child and want to know how we cater for children with SEND, please contact our SENCos and view the documents and links below.
Our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator is Mrs Angela Standall.
The SEND Local Offer aims to bring together helpful and useful information for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. It is a comprehensive guide to services and support all in one place. Please watch the video to find out more.
